除了伤害您的心脏和肺之外,吸烟还会增加您罹患2型糖尿病的风险。根据最近的一项荟萃分析,目前吸烟者罹患糖尿病的风险会增加45%。吸烟损害身体对胰岛素产生反应的方式。在体重指数正常时,吸烟者比不吸烟者更有可能出现中心型肥胖。在许多亚洲国家,一半以上的成年男性经常吸烟。中国和印度是世界上最大的香烟生产国和消费国。如果您马上戒烟,从长期来看,您罹患糖尿病和其他疾病的风险将显著降低。1
