•Regular testing of your blood sugar using a device called a “glucometer”
•Medication prescribed by your doctor in some cases, which helps keep your blood sugar in your target range (generally 3.9 to 7.2 mmol/L (or 70 to 130 mg/dL) before meals, and less than 10 mmol/L (or 180 mg/dL) one to two hours after the start of a meal)1
